Officer Bios

Hello delegates!!! Welcome to YMUN 2027. My name is Selin Daskiran, and I’m proud to be one of your General Assembly A co-chairs for the 2027 conference! This is my third and last year in MUN :( I’m a senior at Montgomery High School, where I participate in clubs like Youth and Government and write for my school’s paper, as well as run our New Student club. Out of school, you can find me practicing archery in my backyard, snacking on Turkish Delight, or grabbing Playa Bowls in Princeton with my friends! I also love making music with my Guzheng, performing locally for my comMUNity (see what I did there). I teach the instrument at my local chinese school, where I also introduce middle schoolers to the excitement of MUN! MUN is a keystone event to me – it shaped me into who I am and I hope conference will be just as, if not more valuable to you. General Assembly might seem intimidating, or it might seem like an opportunity: nevertheless, I want you to take risks, step out of your comfort zone, and leave these three days with no regrets.
