Officer Bios

Hello delegates, and welcome to Model United Nations! My name is Fanta B. Kargbo and I am co-chairing the World Health Organization committee for the 2027 conference. I’m currently a junior at Maple Shade High School where I serve as the Class of 2028 President, Secretary for the Health & Careers Club, and Lead YS for our Model UN delegation. I play Soccer and run Track during the spring as well. In my free time, I enjoy hanging out with family and friends, listening to rap, reading, taking pictures, or binging shows on Netflix. Model UN has defined for me what it means to be diplomatic and a civic leader. I’ve learned to grow out of my comfort zone, and act as a catalyst for change within my community as a result of the civic driven environment that’s fostered by Model UN. I hope you all leave this conference inspired to take what you learned in your committees, and transcend that knowledge into actionable solutions within your communities. I am beyond excited for this year’s conference, and as your 2027 WHO Officer, I give you my word to make this conference a fantastic experience for you all.
