Officer Bios

Hello delegates and Y.S! My name is Emily West and I am currently a senior at Cranford High School. I’m ecstatic to have been chosen as one of your Lead Y.S for the 2026 Model UN Conference. This will be my fourth year in the model UN program, and third year as a Y.S. I first became a Y.S my sophomore year of high school and adored the servant leadership I was able to do with my peers with the “Letters to Refugees” service project and our “Soles4Souls” project. Outside of Model UN, I play french horn and mellophone in my school’s concert band and marching band. I am also an active member of my Girl Scout troop, of which I have earned my bronze and silver medals. I also work part time as a basketball scorekeeper. Alongside this, I am a member of PRIDE, my school’s student ambassador program, where I volunteer at school events, Latin Club, and a volunteer within my community at township initiatives. Outside my responsibilities I spend my time downtown with my friends, reading, writing, or drawing. I am so excited to work with the Y.S this year on our initiatives in order to create a great conference experience. I’m looking forward to being able to collaborate with you all on creating something great and combining all your unique perspectives into something truly impactful and special that serves others.
